On this tour, we will, for example, stop at the small fishing

village Arnarstapi, the ancient fishing village Hellnar, visit Djupalónssandur beach and pass by the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. The stunning landscape of the peninsula has captured the imagination of people all over the world, ever since Jules Verne wrote the famous science fiction novel “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” but the journey begins at Snaefellsjokull glacier. The area all around the glacier contains hundreds of lava tubes, which makes the area special for those interested in caves. We start our next adventure by visiting Vatnshellir Cave. Tour guides lead visitors down a subterranean, spiral staircase to explore this ancient lava tube. Exploring Vatnshellir cave is truly amazing and unforgettable experience. This 8000-year-old lava tube reaches over 200 meters and goes 35 meters below the surface. Overnight in Reykjavik.

After breakfast you move onto the Ring Road to the South. You will see Seljalandsfoss waterfall, which you can walk all the way around for some great photos behind its curtain of water. A little further down the road is the mesmerising and mightily powerful Skógafoss waterfall, a roaring beast with a 60 m (197 ft) drop and a width nearly half its height. After the thrilling experiance move along the coast near the village Vik, take a slight detour to stop and admire the black volcanic beach Reynisfjara, the dramatic Dyrhólaey rock arch and the eerie Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Be very careful of the ocean, however, as the waves along this stretch of coast are notoriously unpredictable and dangerous―all part of the allure of travelling in Iceland.  At the end of your first-rate third day, you’ll spend the night in Vik. On day four, get ready to head to a Nature Reserve within the greater Vatnajokull National Park. Continuing, you’ll find yourself by one of Iceland’s most famous and dazzling attractions, the Jokulsarlón glacier lagoon. Even from the shore, however, the lagoon is stunning, and you have a good chance to see seals playing amongst the ice. After you have enjoyed the lagoon, take the short walk to the nearby Diamond Beach, where many ice-flows wash up on the shore and sparkle like gemstones in the sun. Later return to Vik, and spend the night in Vik. Overnight at Vik.

Today check out from Vik & we will be proceeding towards Reykjavik. Before that, in the day fit in one last fantastic Icelandic experience―a revitalizing visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. It is a great way to end your Icelandic adventure. The geothermal water is rich in minerals, giving it a turquoise glow, as well as many reputed health properties for your skin and soul. Later on your own, explore the highlights of the history and culture of Reykjavik, Iceland’s beautiful capital. Important places of Reykjavik, includes the famous Hallgrimskirkja church, named after the 17th-century poet and clergyman Hallgrimur Pétursson. It is the highest church in Iceland at 74,5 metres high (244 ft.) and it took 41 years to build. Construction began in 1945 and didn’t end until 1986. It additionally houses the largest church organ in Iceland; it has 5275 pipes, is 15 metres high and weighs 25 tons. Other stops are, for example, Hofdi, where the US President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev President of the Soviet Union met to end the Cold War, and Bessastadir, the official residence of the Icelandic president located at the beautiful Álftanes peninsula. Bessastadir was first settled in the year 1000 and has since then been an important place in Iceland. Snorri Sturluson, the author of Snorra-Edda, lived there in the 13th century and later on it became a Royal Fortress and the residence of the Norse King’s highest ranking officers and officials living in Iceland. The beautiful Harpa concert hall and conference centre in downtown Reykjavik, which was designed by the Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects in co-operation with Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. This is the essential introduction to Iceland‘s capital! Alternatively, you can explore the many geological wonders of the Reykjanes peninsula, or simply indulge in some last-minute shopping in Reykjavik. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Today after breakfast proceed to some of the best-known natural phenomena in Iceland via the sightseeing route known as the Golden Circle. The first stop is Þingvellir National Park. Here, you can walk along the rift valley of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, all the while exploring an area which plays a huge role in Iceland’s heritage; parliament was founded here in 930 AD, and it is also where Iceland converted to Christianity and declared its independence from Denmark. The geothermal valley of Haukadalur is the next stop, where you can see the geysers Strokkur and Geysir, amongst many bubbling hostrokkur-503-1t springs. Strokkur puts on an unforgettable display every 10 minutes or so, erupting to heights that exceed 20 m (66 ft). Just a few kilometres away is Iceland’s most popular attraction, the mighty waterfall of Gullfoss. A pathway takes you to the water’s edge, where you can get a  real sense of the incredible power of these enormous falls. From Gullfoss, those with a good sense of adventure can jump on an snowmobiling tour on Langjökull glacier. Another popular sight of the area is the volcanic crater Kerið, which is well worth a visit before continuing to the Capital. The rocks of this crater are coloured rusty red and fiery orange, and the water that permanently sits within its basin is an incredible, vivid blue. The colour contrast, especially when you add green-growing moss, is simply stunning. Overnight at Reykjavik.

Today we proceed towards Airport to catch return flight back home after dropping the car at the airport. Have a safe journey home.
